On May 16, 2007, Google announced that they will be revealing the new face of Google. Google’s universal search integrates all of Google’s search features such as images, video, and news. This new look offers a comprehensive interface for users to find information easier and faster than before.
Personally, I have not clicked on any of the links that appeared at the top of the homepage. When I took a closer look, I’d noticed that they’ve already linked to my favorite link on Google — Gmail. Now I can remove that link from my IE toolbar and fill it with a link to another website that I visit frequently.
Overall, I think this new universal interface could save some time for avid users of Google. I will personally put it to more use now that I know it’s there.
