Computers Under $100 from Raspberry Pi

The major computer manufacturers in the world normally provide some of the highest quality systems at prices that usually reach more than $1000. The news about the Raspberry Pi project, which entails starting to develop computers that would cut down on expenses in a drastic way is, therefore, quite a pleasant surprise.

The development of a low cost computer that uses an ARM based processor is quite revolutionary. These systems can lead to better possibilities for children to learn and do research in schools and would allow families that could never afford a regular PC to buy their children a new, high quality computer without having to save up money for months and years.

Owning a computer with an internet connection these days is becoming more and more important as everything is literally being moved online. Perhaps most people don’t realize the full extent of the incredible future advantages that this technology can provide. However, I believe that the results will be quite clear in at most a few years. And no matter how amazing this news sounds, there’s one thought I just can’t chase away: even though the cost of building this PC is just $25, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the price at which it will be sold will be that low as well, does it?
